Aural Skills III focuses on developing the aural skills for the singing and dictation of advanced melodies and rhythms, and advanced chromatic dictation of melodic and harmonic intervals. Specifically, these aural skills involve the identification of intervals, chromatic triad and seventh chord types, chromatic melodic lines, scales and modes, chromatic triad factors, the identification of complex rhythmic patterns and errors in complex rhythmic patterns, writing chromatic dictated melodies, chromatic triad and seventh chords, chromatic harmonic progressions, sight singing intervals, chromatic arpeggios, and chromatic melodies, and the tapping or singing of complex rhythmic patterns.
