AERN 340 - Advanced Aircraft Systems

(3 hour(s)) Prerequisites: AERN 160. This course studies aircraft systems in detail. It includes advanced study of aircraft materials, construction, engines, propellers, fuel systems, power managements, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, flight controls, weight and balance and instrument systems. It also includes a survey of basic physics. The overall goal of this course is for students to possess an in-depth understanding of aircraft systems in order to successfully meet FAA requirements for advanced certifications and ensure the safe operation of aircraft. This course cannot be challenged.
