MUSI 406 - Christian Congregational Literature

(3 hours) Prerequisite: MUSI 234 - 235 or permission of the instructor. A study of congregational song, emphasizing the history and theology of congregational song, the use of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs in present day worship, the use of new materials for congregational worship, and examination of recently published hymnals and contemporary worship collections.
