A major in Early Childhood Education consists of 69 hours, plus 6 additional content hours and does not require a minor. A grade of “C” or better is required in all courses in the major.

Content Emphasis (6 hours)
6 hours in one of the designated areas outside of Education above the core requirements. Students must contact their Education Advisor for approval of courses. The Following are approved areas: Geography/History/Political Science; Sociology/Psychology; HPES and Physical Education; Business/Economics/CSCI; Criminal Justice; Sciences; Mathematics/CSCI; Nursing; Health Promotion; Fine Arts; English/Communication and Theatre; Foreign Languages; Christian Studies. Students may substitute a three (3) hour Global Studies course in this requirement. Note:
All students must have at least 125 hours to graduate. Students must meet the Residency Requirements described in this catalog. |
