A minor in Biology consists of 19-20 hours.

All students placed in ENGL 099 and/or MATH 099 must complete the course(s) successfully before being allowed into BIOL 161 , BIOL 161L , BIOL 162 , and BIOL 162L .
Mathematics 105 or higher may satisfy the Liberal Arts Core minimum requirement in mathematics for this minor, depending on which Biology electives are selected. Higher mathematics courses may be required as prerequisites for certain courses.

Minor Studies (8 hours)

BIOL 161 - Foundations of Biology I (3 hours)
BIOL 161L - Foundations of Biology I Laboratory (1 hours)
BIOL 162 - Foundations of Biology II (3 hours)
BIOL 162L - Foundations of Biology II Laboratory (1 hours)

Minor Electives (11-12 hours)

11 - 12 hours of approved biology electives.
Six hours must be at the 300-400 level.

Note:

BIOL 110 - Introductory Biological Science

is not an approved elective.

Note:

All students must have at least 125 hours to graduate. Students must meet the Residency Requirements described in this catalog.
