MPAS 512 - The Path to Becoming a PA III

(1 hours) Prerequisites: Successful completion of Units 1, 2, and 3 of the didactic year. This 12-week hybrid course in Unit 4 of the fall semester is the third in a three-course series designed to facilitate the student’s transition into the medical profession and introduction to PA professional practice issues. Topics taught include human sexuality; patient response to illness/injury/stress; palliative and end-of-life care; violence identification/prevention/mandatory reporting; occupational health and travel health; billing & coding and care documentation; and the clinical year. Note: This course cannot be challenged.
