MUSI 299L - Aural Skills IV


(1 hour(s)) Prerequisite: MUSI 298L. Aural Skills IV focuses on further developing the aural skills for the singing and dictation of advanced melodies and rhythms, and advanced chromatic dictation of melodic and harmonic intervals (in both tonal and non-tonal contexts).  Specifically, these aural skills involve the identification of intervals, chromatic triad, seventh, and other chord types, chromatic melodic lines, scales and modes, chromatic chord factors, the identification of complex rhythmic patterns and errors in complex rhythmic patterns, writing chromatic dictated melodies, chromatic triad, seventh, and other chord types, chromatic harmonic progressions, sight singing intervals, chromatic arpeggios, and chromatic melodies, and the tapping or singing of complex rhythmic patterns.
