DPTE 724 - Mobility & Function

(3 hours) Prerequisites: Successful completion of previous Summer term, Year I, CSU PT classes. This course is designed to apply the fundamental knowledge and develop the psychomotor skills and behaviors needed in patient care for physical therapy practice as it relates to patient care management across systems and performing a screen, basic examination skills, positioning, and mobility tasks under different functional contexts across a variety of diagnoses. Student engagement and proficiency requires assessment of person, task, and environment in order to safely execute the patient care screen, basic examination skills and patient care interventions for positioning and mobility. Note: This course cannot be challenged.
