DPTE 715 - Neuroscience (4 hours) Prerequisites: Successful completion of previous Summer term, Year I, CSU PT classes. This course is designed to prepare the physical therapy student to apply basic neuroanatomy and neurophysiology principles to patient populations. Emphasis will be placed on the structural and functional organization of the nervous system, particularly that of the central nervous system. From this understanding, theories of motor control and movement science will be addressed. Clinical correlations relevant to the practice of physical therapy will be emphasized.
