NURS 407 - Leadership/Management for ABSN

(4 (4-0-0) hours) Prerequisites: Completion of all 200- and 300-level ABSN courses and NURS 409 - Community Health Nursing. Effective leadership and management skills expected of professional nurses will be explored for the ABSN student. Strategies for the application of leadership and management principles in simulated and actual healthcare delivery situations will be developed. The impact of legal, social, political, religious, and economic forces on nursing, society, and the health care system are analyzed. Ethical and spiritual dilemmas confronting nurses are explored from multiple perspectives. This course cannot be challenged.
