HCMT 320 - Introduction to Healthcare in the US

(3 hours) This course provides an introduction to the healthcare system in the United States. This course will include a broad overview of the U.S. health care delivery system. The course examines the beliefs, values, and health of the U.S. population, the evolution of health services overtime, health service professionals, health care financing, insurance, and policy, and the cost, access, and quality of health services. The student will be able to identify and understand the key concepts of the U.S. health care system and understand the future directions of the industry.
