MATH 320 - History of Mathematics (2 hours) Prerequisite: Twelve credit hours in MATH at the 200 level or higher. Study of the foundation of mathematical thought and methods from the ancients to modern day, and of the historical influence of mathematical ideas in the fields of science, technology, philosophy, and art. The course will provide both historical knowledge and an appreciation of the role of mathematics in the development of modern society. The course will also integrate Christian Worldview and its influence on Mathematics and on certain Mathematicians throughout history. This course cannot be challenged. Note: This course does NOT meet the liberal arts core requirement.
