HEAL 304 - Community Immersion

(3 hours) Prerequisites: Student must be a Health Promotion major, a minimum of a 2.75 overall GPA and a 2.75 GPA in Health Promotion major classes, and receive permission from the Director of Health Promotion. This course allows the student the opportunity to apply principles of health education and promotion in completing a comprehensive experiential learning opportunity. Working with faculty and a preceptor, the student will gain knowledge and skills in a selected healthcare or community setting. A minimum of 90 community experience hours are required to complete the course.
