CHST 469 - Student Ministry Internship (3 hours) Prerequisites: senior standing, 2.75 overall GPA and 3.0 GPA in major, submission of proposed internship to faculty supervisor and School of Christian Studies’ Dean four weeks prior to beginning of internship, and approval of Dean. This course may only be taken by students majoring in Student Ministry, unless special permission is granted by the Dean. Qualified students may apply for an internship related to the local church or an approved Christian organization. A student must devote at least 112 hours to the internship and meet with his or her faculty supervisor at least three times during the semester to receive credit. An internship may also consist of a guided academic research program in which a Christian Studies professor supervises a student in research related to Student Ministry. With the guided academic research internship the professor and the intern must meet at least twice a month. This course cannot be challenged. Note: Grading is on a pass-fail basis.
