ENGL 401 - General Linguistics
(3 hours) Prerequisites: ENGL 111, 112 and either ENGL 202, 203, or 204. An introductory course in descriptive and comparative linguistics, conducted in English. Strongly recommended for students who plan to attend graduate school and/or to teach English, a foreign language, or speech/communication in high school. Cross-listed under Communication and Theatre.
