HNRS 202 - Honors History of Ideas

(3 hours) Prerequisites: Admission to Honors Program. This course will examine the ideas of key major philosophers who have shaped the worldviews of western civilization.  Through reading primary and secondary sources, students will consider the answers given in the history of philosophy to significant questions concerning the fundamental disciplines of philosophy (logic, metaphysics, epistemology, anthropology, and ethics), and develop their own answers to these questions.  This course cannot be challenged. Note: This course will also count in the Liberal Arts Core as a second History class.
