A minor in Economics consists of 18 hours.

Mathematics 111 College Algebra or higher satisfies the Liberal Arts Core minimum requirement in Mathematics for this minor.
Higher mathematics courses may be required as prerequisites for certain courses.

Minor Studies (6 hours)

ECON 211 - Principles of Microeconomics (3 hours) *
ECON 212 - Principles of Macroeconomics (3 hours)
* Hours count toward the Liberal Arts Core

Minor Electives (12 hours)

Choose four 300-400 level economics courses including at least one of the following:

ECON 421 - Intermediate Microeconomic Theory (3 hours)
ECON 422 - Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory (3 hours)
ECON 452 - Managerial Economics (3 hours)

Note:

Undergraduate students with a major in Business Administration and a minor (or second major) in Economics may not use the same upper level courses (300/400) to satisfy requirements in both areas.

Note:

All students must have at least 125 hours to graduate. Students must meet the Residency Requirements described in this catalog.
