A major in Musical Theatre consists of 67-70 hours and does not require a minor. A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in all courses listed under Major Studies and Area Specific Studies, with the exception of Studio Lessons and Ensembles, where a minimum grade of “B” must be earned. This program has not received initial approval by the University’s music accrediting body, NASM. The institution will file for initial approval in Fall 2026, to be considered by the NASM Commission at the next meeting, in November 2026.
