Pre-Actuarial Studies

A minor in Pre-Actuarial Studies consists of 43 hours.

This minor is designed to accompany either a Mathematics major (21 new hours) or a Financial Management major (22 new hours).

Students lacking an appropriate mathematics background may be required to take MATH 110/ MATH 111 College Algebra and/or MATH 130 Precalculus prior to enrolling in MATH 221 . These courses do not count towards the 21-22 hours required in the minor.

IMPORTANT DEPARTMENTAL POLICY: A student who has received credit for a Mathematics course numbered Math 221 or higher may not subsequently take a 100-level Mathematics course for credit.

Graduation Credit Hour Requirements

All students must earn a minimum of 120 credit hours to graduate.
Students who have taken MATH 099 or ENGL 099 must complete at least 124 credit hours.
Students who have taken both MATH 099 and ENGL 099 must complete at least 128 credit hours.
All students must also satisfy the Residency Requirements as outlined in this catalog.
