A major in Political Science consists of 30 semester hours, including the Liberal Arts Core , of which a minimum grade of “C” must be earned in all courses counting toward the major.

Liberal Arts Core

COIN 209 - Introduction to Computer Systems (3 hours)
POLI 201 - American National Government (3 hours) (meets 3 hours of the Social Studies LAC requirement)
MATH 105 - Introduction to Mathematical Structures (3 hours) Math 105 or higher satisfies the liberal arts core requirement for this major.

18 additional hours of Political Science electives of which 12 must be at the 300-400 level
