Music and Worship Leadership (B.A. Degree)

The major of Music and Worship Leadership consists of a minimum of 77 or 78 hours plus requirements within the Liberal Arts Core . A minor area of study is not required. A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in all courses listed under major studies. Students must apply and be accepted into the Horton School of Music.

Note:

Concert Attendance (MUSI 001) is required in any term the student is taking studio lessons on their primary instrument.

Liberal Arts Core must include the following (44 hours)

Communication and Fine Arts

Must Include:

COMM 110 - Public Speaking (3 hours)
MUSI 241 - Language Diction for Singers I (3 hours)
MUSI 371 - Music History and Literature I (3 hours)
RELI 111 - Survey of the Old Testament (3 hours)

Natural Science

Lab Sciences: (8 hours), with two fields represented, selected from life sciences and physical sciences.
Mathematics: (3 hours) (Mathematics 105 or above)

Social Science

PSYC 110 - General Psychology (3 hours)

General Electives (6 hours)
