A major in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Biblical Studies consists of 42 hours and requires a minor outside the College of Christian Studies. A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in all courses counting toward the major.

Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Biblical Languages (42 hours) + Liberal Arts Core (47 hours)
Liberal Arts Core (47 hours)
- See Liberal Arts Core (LAC) for all bachelor degrees ; students pursuing this major must use the following courses to meet the foreign language requirement:

- Students must take CHST 424 instead of COMM 110
- (3 hours) or higher satisfies the liberal arts core requirement in Mathematics for this major.
Christian Studies Core (30 hours)
Emphasis in Biblical Languages (12 hours)
Students may choose to study Hebrew, Greek or both (see below). Hebrew
Students studying Hebrew must take 12 hours of Hebrew related courses in addition to the 6 hours of Hebrew (CHST 121 and 122) used to satisfy the Liberal Arts Core foreign language requirement. Greek
Students studying Greek must take 12 hours of Greek related courses in addition to the 6 hours of Greek (CHST 131 and 132) used to satisfy the Liberal Arts Core foreign language requirement. Hebrew and Greek
Students studying both Hebrew and Greek must take 12 hours of the biblical languages in addition to the 6 hours of either Hebrew (CHST 121 and 122) or Greek (CHST 131 and 132) used to satisfy the Liberal Arts Core foreign language requirement. Note:
All students must have at least 125 hours to graduate. Students who took MATH 099 or ENGL 099 will need at least 129 hours to graduate. Full Bridge students will need at least 133 hours. Students must meet the Residency Requirements described in this catalog. |
