A minor in mathematics consists of 18 – 20 hours.
- Students lacking an appropriate mathematics background may be required to take / MATH 111 College Algebra and/or MATH 130 Precalculus prior to enrolling in MATH 221 . These courses do not count towards the 18-20 hours required in the minor.
- IMPORTANT DEPARTMENTAL POLICY: A student who has received credit for a Mathematics course numbered MATH 221 or higher may not subsequently take a 100-level Mathematics course for credit.

Minor Studies (12 hours)
Required for all Mathematics Minors: Minor Electives (6 - 8 hours)
In addition, you will take one of two course sequences: Pure math minor (6 hours)
Applied math minor (8 hours)
Note:
All students must have at least 125 hours to graduate. Students who took MATH 099 or ENGL 099 will need at least 129 hours to graduate. Full Bridge students will need at least 133 hours. Students must meet the Residency Requirements described in this catalog. |
