Applied Mathematics (BS Degree)

A major in Applied Mathematics consists of 69 hours and does not require a minor.

This major is available only to students participating in the Engineering Dual-Degree Program. Please refer to the section on the Engineering Dual-Degree Program  for further information on the degree program requirements.

Applied Mathematics (69 hours) + Liberal Arts Core (47 hours)

Note:


The engineering courses taken during a student’s first full year at the cooperating institution participating in the dual-degree program will be applied toward the remaining hours needed to complete degree requirements in the Mathematics Department at Charleston Southern University.  Any additional hours needed to meet the Bachelor of Science requirement of 125 (minimum) semester hours will also come from courses taken at the cooperating institution.  These may be accepted either as additional mathematics electives or general electives.

Note:


All students must have at least 125 hours to graduate. Students who took MATH 099 or ENGL 099 will need at least 129 hours to graduate. Full Bridge students will need at least 133 hours. Students must meet the Residency Requirements  described in this catalog.
