A major in mathematics consists of 67- 68 hours and requires a minor.

Mathematics (67-68 hours) + Liberal Arts Core (48 hours)


 

Liberal Arts Core (48 hours)


  • See Liberal Arts Core (LAC) for all bachelor degrees ; must include the following courses:
  •   (Students lacking an appropriate mathematics background may be required to take Math 110 or 111 and/or Math 130  prior to enrolling in Math 221 . These courses do not count towards the 42 hours required in the major.)
  • IMPORTANT DEPARTMENTAL POLICY: A student who has received credit for a Mathematics course numbered MATH 221 or higher may not subsequently take a 100-level Mathematics course for credit.
