A minor in Kinesiology consists of 18 semester hours plus the Liberal Arts Core requirement of Biology.

Liberal Arts Core

BIOL 210 - Human Anatomy and Physiology (3 hours)
BIOL 210L - Human Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory (1 hours)
or the following four courses:
BIOL 226 - Anatomy & Physiology I (3 hours)
BIOL 226L - Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory I (1 hours)
BIOL 227 - Anatomy & Physiology II (3 hours)
BIOL 227L - Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory II (1 hours)

Minor Studies (9-10 hours)

KINE 201 - Personal and Community Health (3 hours) or
KINE 211 - Health and Fitness Assessment (3 hours)
KINE 215 - Introduction to Kinesiology (3 hours)
KINE 380 - Physiology of Exercise (3 hours)
KINE 380L - Physiology of Exercise Lab (1 hours) or
KINE 408 - Kinesiology (3 hours)

Minor Electives (8-9 hours)

8-9 hours of approved Kinesiology electives

Note:

At least 6 hours of this minor must be at the 300/400 level.

* A major in Athletic Training with an optional minor in Kinesiology requires KINE 404 or 461 for the minor in place of KINE 380 . (KINE 380 is required for the Athletic Training major.)

* A student majoring in Physical Education (BS Degree) may not earn a minor in Kinesiology.

Note:

All students must have at least 125 hours to graduate. Students must meet the Residency Requirements described in this catalog.
