A major in Biology with a Preprofessional Emphasis consists of 57 hours in Biology courses including the required 12 hours of supporting studies and does not require a minor. Courses from other departments are also required as shown below:

Note:
- All students placed in ENGL 099 and/or MATH 099 must complete the course(s) successfully before being allowed into BIOL 161, BIOL 161L, BIOL 162 or BIOL 162L.
- or is a prerequisite to MATH 130.
Required Biology Electives (10 hours):
Students must take an additional 10 hours of Biology courses. BIOL 110 is not an approved elective. Required Supporting Studies (12 hours):

All students must have at least 125 hours to graduate. Students must meet the Residency Requirements described in this catalog. |
