Librarians offer instruction that employs active learning strategies in the development of critical thinking skills aligned with information literacy skills in order to prepare students for curricular success and beyond. Instruction includes informal point-of-use assistance; traditional reference and research services; assistance by e-mail, live chat, and instant messaging; and online tutorials and library guides.
Formal instruction includes two library research courses offered by the department, LIBR 104 and LIBR 204 , library orientations, and bibliographic instruction within courses offered by other academic departments.
