KINE 450 - Practicum V


(3 hours) Prerequisite: KINE 400. Designed to provide a review of the previously taught athletic training educational competencies. Emphasis is placed on musculoskeletal evaluations, general medical conditions, nutritional considerations, vascular disorders, environmental considerations, and emergency medical assessment/ management. During the required 180-hour clinical rotation under the direct supervision of an Approved Clinical Instructor, students will demonstrate their proficiency in the educational competencies. Proficiencies will include musculoskeletal evaluations with appropriate development of a treatment plan, proper use of modalities and rehabilitative exercises, and proper documentation and communication of the injury/condition evaluation. This course cannot be challenged.
