EDUC 608 - Foundations, Issues and Trends in Education

(3 hours) Corequisite: EDUC 646 (M. Ed. Elem) or EDUC 630 and EDUC 645 (M. Ed. Admin). A survey of the historical, philosophical, sociological, and legal foundations of American education. Study covers the growth and development of education in the United States from colonial times to the present with particular emphasis on possible trends for the future.
