AERN 261L - Instrument Rating Lab (2 hours) Prerequisites/Corequisites: Must be taken concurrently with or after successful completion of AERN 260. Instrument Rating Laboratory will provide flight training to students pursuing an FAA Instrument Rating. Each student must complete required flight training and satisfy all requirements to take their FAA Instrument Rating practical exam (checkride). Students will conduct their flight training through the contracted flight instruction provider, and will fly three times per week minimum, for a total of 40 hours of flight training (24 Dual Aircraft, 16 Simulator), and an additional 35 hours of ground training by their designated FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). Grading is on a pass/fail basis. This course cannot be challenged. Note: Lab fee required. See catalog for amounts.
