CHEM 305 - Introductory Biochemistry (4 hours) Prerequisites: CHEM 117 or 301 with a grade of “C” or better. This is a brief introduction to biochemistry that includes a study of nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and metabolism of the molecules. The laboratory will provide exposure to tests that are used in the laboratory to identify and study these biomolecules. (3 hours lecture and 2 hour laboratory). Laboratory fee required.
