A minor in Biology consists of 19-20 semester hours.

All students placed in ENGL 099 and/or MATH 099 must complete the course(s) successfully before being allowed into BIOL 141 , BIOL 142 , BIOL 210 , and BIOL 215 . Mathematics 105 or 111 may satisfy the Liberal Arts Core minimum requirement in Mathematics for this minor, depending on which Biology electives are selected. Higher mathematics courses may be required as prerequisites for certain courses.

Minor Studies

BIOL 141 - Zoology (4 hours)
BIOL 142 - Botany (4 hours)
11-12 hours of approved biology electives. Six hours must be at the 300-400 level.

Note:

BIOL 110 - Introductory Biological Science

is not an approved elective.

Students must also meet the Residency Requirements described in this catalog.
