BUSI 357 - Studies in Free Enterprise


(1 -3 hours) Prerequisites: Admission to the School of Business, Junior or Senior standing, or special approval; prior SIFE experience at the volunteer (i.e. non-credit) level; Instructor approval required. The course will focus on goal setting, project planning and management, marketing, financing, and implementing student directed educational projects worldwide. The projects are aimed at increasing citizen awareness and understanding of business and economic issues, based on the criteria set by the Students in Free Enterprise national organization. Students will create, deploy, and access projects dealing with: Market Economics, Success Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Environmental Sustainability, and Business Ethics. Students may earn up to 6 hours of BUSI 357 credit. However, only 3 hours of credit may be applied to the general business elective requirements. The course may be offered for 1, 2, or 3 credits.
