MUSI 152 30 - Class Instruction in Music (Piano)

This credit is not valid towards performance requirements in any music majors or minors. This course is offered as an introduction to the piano keyboard. It is designed for students with little or no formal training. Students will read notes in treble and bass clef, rhythms and play compositions using both hands. Proper piano technique such as posture, hand placement and fingering is taught. Students learn basic musical terms and symbols. MUSI 152-30 is offered as a continuation of MUSI 151-30. Upon successful completion of 152-30, students may take private studio piano. No studio performance credit is awarded for this class. General elective credit only.
