SCMT 323 - Distribution


(3 hours) This course enables the student to delve into the vital field of Distribution and how it relates to the Supply Chain.  Major areas of study include the evolution, philosophy, concepts, tools, and techniques associated with Distribution.  Specific topics to be examined include an introduction to Supply Chain Management; purchase management; creating and managing supplier relationships; ethical and sustainable sourcing; demand forecasting; resource planning system; inventory management process management; domestic and global logistics; customer relationship management; global location decisions; service response logistics; supply chain management integration; and performance management.  This course cannot be challenged.
