PSYC 632 - Integrative Psychotherapy Techniques II


(3 hours) Prerequisites: Admission to the MS Program and PSYC 531. An examination of clinical techniques and applications of spiritually oriented therapy techniques including, but not limited to: prayer, promoting forgiveness as a religious or spiritual intervention, spirituality and meditation, alternative approaches to support spiritual growth and well-being, integrating sacred writings in therapy and spiritual journaling. Additionally, future directions in training and research for spiritually oriented interventions will be covered. This is an experiential skills training course that introduces the application of basic counseling strategies and interventions with diverse populations.
