PSYC 625 - Advanced Tests and Measurement (3 hours) Prerequisites: Admission to the MS program and PSYC 520. A study of the theoretical and historical basis for, as well as knowledge of cultural biases associated with: assessment techniques; testing methods; knowledge of various types of tests and evaluation strategies that result in knowledgeable selection, administration, interpretation; and the use of assessment/evaluation instruments and techniques that foster social justice among diverse client populations. Topics of study will also include the establishment of the reliability and validity of test instruments and an examination of their psychometric properties.
