The College of Education is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Charleston Southern University is accredited by National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). The Music Therapy program is approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA). The Nursing program has full approval of the South Carolina Board of Nursing (SCBON) and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The Bridge Program is accredited by National Association of Developmental Education (NADE). In the Department of Computer Science, the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET). The University is a member of the American Council on Education, the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the International Association of Baptist Colleges and Universities, the South Carolina Association of Colleges, South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities, the South Carolina Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the South Carolina College Council, the National League for Nursing and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. CSU is a full member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation - Provisional status to the Physician Assistant Program.
